Intense opaque dark purple core with slight gradation to a bright magenta rim.  The nose is complex with rich cassis and plum fruit, a pronounced muskiness with hints of star anise, creamy oak and lifted graphite and cedar aromas.  The palate is rich and well structured with dense black fruit, fresh acidity and linear satin tannins.  Very complex and complete with a long finish and great persistence.

Deep crimson red.  Heavy savoury oak aromas combined with pencil shavings and hints of dark fruits, plum and cassis.  The wine shows great structure and balance.  Initial Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics are followed up with a spicy finish from the Shiraz.  With great tannin structure and a strong backbone this wine has excellent ageing potential.

Cabernet Sauvignon 59%, Merlot 25%, Petit Verdot 6%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Malbec 5%.  Plum red with a thin red rim.  The aroma of the wine is fruit driven with combination of the black fruits plum, cherries and blackberries.  The fruitcake aromas are rounded off by a subtle oak spice to the finish.  There are also distinctive earthy undertones to this claret.  Palate: The fruit from the aroma follows through onto a seductive mid-palate, supported by a silky mineral feel with hints of oak and backed by a sweet tannin finish.

80% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre

Very complex aromatic line ranging from some very earthy fine grafite aromas to almost anice; a very black fruit appearance combined with some nutty, almond flavours.  On the pallet,  the wine has an amazing tannin and acidity structure which will stand in good time for ageing.  Decant at least 2 hours prior to drinking.  If served directly from the bottle, it will be perfect with hearty game dishes with red wine reduction sauces.  It is a wine with a serious structure and statue.
